Why it matters

What Happens to a WordPress Website Nobody Maintains

Nothing, for a while. Then everything at once — usually on the day you need the site most. These are the four failures we are called in to clean up.

Outdated plugins get exploited

Known vulnerabilities in old plugins are the most common way business WordPress sites are compromised. Patches exist — someone has to apply them.

An update quietly breaks something

A form stops sending, a checkout step fails, a layout collapses on mobile. Nobody notices until a customer tells you — or doesn’t.

The backup was never tested

Most sites have a backup plugin installed. Far fewer have a backup that has actually been restored successfully at least once.

Small problems compound

Slow pages, broken links, expired SSL and PHP warnings accumulate into a site that is expensive to rescue rather than cheap to maintain.

One emergency recovery — restoring a hacked site, rebuilding a broken checkout, chasing a plugin conflict — usually costs more than a year of monthly care. Maintenance is the cheaper half of the same job.
What’s included

What’s Included in a WordPress Care Plan?

A real care plan is more than clicking “update”. Every month your site is updated, checked, backed up and improved a little — and you have someone to ask.

WordPress Updates

Core, theme and plugin updates applied carefully and in the right order, so your website stays current instead of falling years behind.

Backup Checks

Before important updates we confirm a working backup exists — the difference between a five-minute rollback and a lost weekend.

Small Website Requests

Use your monthly time for text edits, image swaps, menu updates, button changes or minor layout fixes. No ticket haggling.

Basic Security Review

We check the visible risks: outdated plugins, SSL problems, suspicious users, abandoned accounts and basic health warnings.

Theme & Plugin Checks

We review the frontend after updates and catch common conflicts between WordPress, your theme and your plugins before visitors do.

Specialist WordPress Help

Answers from the team that builds and maintains these themes — not a script-reading support tier that escalates and disappears.

What Counts as a Small Request?

Simple tasks that can be done without planning a project. Anything bigger gets a clear quote before we start — never a surprise invoice.

Included small requests
Text and copy edits Image replacements Menu and navigation updates Button, link and contact detail changes Small layout adjustments Minor visual fixes after updates
Quoted separately
New page creation Major redesigns Custom plugin development Hacked-site cleanup Complex third-party integrations Large or frequent content migrations
View custom development
WooCommerce support add-ons

Stores need more careful testing, because one plugin update can affect products, checkout, payments and shipping. WooCommerce care is handled as an add-on on top of either plan.

WordPress Support Plan FAQs

Care scope, WooCommerce add-ons, response times and what happens before support starts.

What is a WordPress care plan?
A WordPress care plan is an ongoing maintenance service for your website. It covers regular WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, backup checks before risky changes, basic security and health reviews, small fixes, and support for routine content changes — so the site does not quietly drift out of date between projects.
How much does WordPress maintenance cost?
Our plans are $99/mo for Theme Care and $249/mo for Priority Care. WooCommerce stores add $79/mo for basic store care or from $299/mo for complex stores. There is no setup fee, and you can cancel any time.
Do you support websites not built with AnpsThemes?
Yes, after a review. Monthly Support is built primarily for AnpsThemes customers, but we accept selected business WordPress websites when the setup is clean, stable and fits the plan scope.
Is hosting included in Monthly Support?
No. Monthly Support is for websites hosted on your own account — your hosting, domains and email stay exactly where they are. If you want hosting, setup, updates, backups and support in one package, choose Managed WordPress Websites instead.
How fast do you respond?
Theme Care requests are handled within normal business turnaround, typically 1–2 business days. Priority Care requests are queued ahead of standard support and handled the same or next business day, which is the main reason active sites choose it.
Do unused small requests roll over?
No. Small-request time is included for the active monthly period and does not roll over. This keeps scheduling predictable and fair across all clients.
Can you fix urgent WordPress issues?
Small urgent issues are handled inside Priority Care when they fit the plan scope. Larger problems — hacked websites, broken custom functionality, complex debugging — are quoted separately so we can give them proper attention.
Do you support WooCommerce websites?
Yes, as an add-on. Store updates need extra checks around products, checkout, payments, shipping and customer accounts, so WooCommerce care is priced separately. Complex stores are reviewed before we confirm.
What if I need a full redesign or custom development?
Monthly Support covers ongoing care and small requests. Full redesigns, new features, custom plugins, integrations and advanced WooCommerce work go through our custom WordPress development service with a proper scope and quote.
Do you provide monthly reports?
Yes — a short summary of the updates, checks and support work completed that month. The depth of reporting depends on the plan and the agreed scope.
Can you update website content every month?
Yes. Text edits, image replacements, button and link changes, menu updates and simple content blocks all count as small requests within your plan.
Can I cancel monthly support?
Yes. It is an ongoing monthly service with no long contract. If you cancel, any work already in progress is confirmed and completed before the plan ends.
