Creating New Sidebars
Last edited: June 19, 2017- Inside the WordPress admin dashboard navigate to Appearance – Sidebars.
- Click on “Add Sidebar” and in the opened popup write the name of the sidebar (eg. My awesome sidebar).
- Navigate to Appearance – Widgets and drag and drop the widgets you wish you use in your new sidebar.
- a. If you want to display the sidebar across the entire site, navigate to Appearance – Theme Options – Page Layout and set it under “Page sidebars” or “Post sidebars”.
b. If you want to display only on certain pages or posts, edit that particular post or page and scroll below the main content editor. Set the sidebar under the “Sidebars” section.
